Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree......How painful are your branches!

We finally put up our Christmas Tree!  It was a 4 day process.  Saturday, we got our tree from Gore's, a family owned business in our neighborhood.  We looked, unsuccessfully, for colored lights at Lowe's and Target (they didn't have ANY lights).  We were going to visit our parents on Sunday, so we got Christmas lights from Grandma.  Thank goodness she buys in bulk!  Monday, I put the lights on the tree, then decided I was exhausted and that was all that was getting done.  And yesterday (Tuesday), I put the tree skirt, ornaments, and ribbons together.  Ta Da!

Okay, so this was year I finally got a blue spruce!  Yeah!  But wait a minute.......I had no idea how spiky this tree was!  These needles could probably be used to sew a pair of jeans together.  I promise I will never get this tree again.......looks pretty, but not worth the pain!  I keep vacuuming because I'm worried one of the kids are going to get a pine needle in their hand or foot.
